Legal nurse consultants: do you want to know how to write better advertising and marketing copy for your legal nurse consulting business, whether you are writing a letter, email, blog post, website content, or brochure? How can you create persuasive legal nurse writing?
Part 2 of this blog post series covered 3 tips: Split long sentences, write short paragraphs and be patient.
Here is the next tip.
Break up Content to Create Persuasive Legal Nurse Writing
People reading a novel at the beach or in front of the fireplace want to be entertained, and don’t mind absorbing page after page of long blocks of text. When they are trying to make a quick decision or solve an urgent problem, though, they need to find the information as quickly as possible.
One way to help readers do this is to break up your text into smaller chunks (as with writing shorter paragraphs, as I discussed in Part 2). These are other ways to break up the text, and make it more readable, persuasive and easily consumable.
- headings and subheadings
- bulleted and numbered lists
- white space (adding space between paragraphs and around pictures)
- visual aids, such as charts, graphs, and pictures
All of these techniques make your legal nurse consulting copy much easier to read or scan, and for your readers to find the piece of information that will help them make that decision or solve that problem.
Here’s an example of what NOT to do:

See how by just breaking up the text and using a couple of bulleted lists, the text is much easier to scan through? Notice that I also used the technique of bolding certain key words to draw attention to certain phrases.
This helps the extremely busy reader/scanner to get the main point of the message without having to read every single word. Improve your writing to turn it into persuasive legal nurse consulting writing by using these techniques. Break up long bits of text to make it consumable. Or as the writers like to say, “snackable”.
