Do you know the key to less stress in your LNC business? Without a doubt, the response is having efficient systems! When it comes to building your LNC business, building a strong foundation using efficient systems is imperative. Without that, you will likely stay in a place of overwhelm and get burned out quickly.
Set yourself up for success by using tools that will help you streamline your operations and day-to-day business. For instance, you need a calendar to track your appointments to keep running smoothly and as expected.
You can implement a high level of efficiency and consistency by creating systems and workflows.
Less Stress in Your LNC Business Starts with Documenting Everything
What would happen if you had an emergency and you need to have someone to step in for you? Do you have everything documented and updated?
Most LNCs do not have their processes properly documented. This is a recipe for disaster! When you are the only person that knows not just what needs to be done, but how to do it, things could get bad real fast!
Rather than risk pulling your hair out and affect the flow of your business, which could affect your attorney client’s experience, document every task in your business. Yes, every task. Anything from accessing and managing email, to how to set up and/or change appointments.
Less stress in your LNC business means you can feel confident about what you created with the most efficient systems for your success.
While this will take some time to implement, having it in place will be beneficial in the long run if you need someone to do it.
Investigate More Efficient Systems
Where can your legal nurse consulting business be more efficient?
Develop templates that keeps everything formatted to your brand. Some examples of branded templates are worksheets, guides and anything else you use in your business.
As you add documents to your systems, take a moment to see if other templates need tweaked or updated. For instance, if you have been using Google calendar and switch to a different one, make sure you edit any document that references ‘calendar’ or appointments.
When documenting tasks, include images or screenshots, as a visual aid to performing the task. Include access credentials, if needed, in the documentation. For multi-step tasks, cover additional details required.
If you have any tools that are outdated or no longer serve your LNC business efficiently, look at different options.
Look at the tasks that take place daily. Where can you be more efficient? Are there other tools that will maximize your time?
Even if you are a solo business owner, as most of us are, documenting your business operations will be valuable to you. It forces you to really look at your business and see how much time you spend working in the different areas of your business operations. For example, do you spend a lot of time trying to collect money from your clients?
Identify areas where you feel overwhelm and stress; look carefully and see how to reduce or eliminate the overwhelm. A LNC business coach can help you see things you may miss, as well as help you focus on new business opportunities.
An efficient business is a successful, stress free business!
