Your LNC business will grow faster when you hire a support team to help you. You have likely gotten business advice to outsource some of your work tasks to other individuals so that you can focus on the core, income-generating tasks.
This is a valuable step to take when you’re trying to grow your business because you can only do and manage so much. By freeing up your time and energy you’ll be sure to focus your efforts on growth.
There’s Not Enough Time in Your Day
You might ask how you can make sure things get done the right way? You look for qualified people who have a portfolio that matches your needs. Also, you look for people who are specialized in that task or area.
For example, hire a virtual assistant to help you work on organizing all virtual items – like your inbox or social media. Bookkeepers can handle balancing your books or doing payroll tasks. Outside of that, there are an endless number of people who have talents and certifications and proven work experience in all areas.
All you have to do is look for them! And train them. And supervise them. Then you can reap the benefits of more case work time.
You Can’t Clone Yourself
You might find yourself constantly running out of time in the workday. How are you supposed to do it all? If you’re a one-man or one-woman show, sometimes that can be more of a hindrance than a talented act.
You cannot clone yourself and there is only so much that a single person to get done. Much like the previous suggestion, find people to fill in those tasks that you need to be done for you.
To begin with, select the tasks that you aren’t as skilled at or that you dread the most. Hire a Virtual Assistant to help you with anything that can be done virtually, bookkeeper, a ghostwriter for creating online content or programs, a social media specialist, and more. The list of possibilities is endless. Let the specialized individuals handle what they are good at. Then you can focus on putting time and effort into client relationships and cases.
You Don’t Have Time to Learn the Latest Technology
Technology is the quickest thing to become outdated. Sometimes technology pushes you back to the point of feeling like you can’t catch up. Of course, the internet is full of a myriad of tools and templates, and websites to help you create and do amazing things.
However, they all require you to learn how to use them. Instead of spending hours googling how to use any of these programs, hire somebody who already knows how to use it and use it well. They also are the ones who stay up-to-date on the new iterations of programs and software so that you don’t have to!
It takes is finding the right person, sharing your version, and using that newfound time to tackle other tasks.
I Don’t Know What Tasks to Give Up
While I am sure much of what I have shared sounds great in theory, you’re probably thinking “but I can’t give up MY business” or “how can I trust others to do it the way I like it?”
I’ve talked to several LNCs who are reluctant to subcontract to other LNCs because they are fearful no one else can do the work as well. But the consequence of that is that they are under great stress to do it all, to work all the time, and to never feel like they can relax. And they are doing NOTHING to build a business they can sell, since they are the business.
To make this process easier, you should have a business plan that outlines what you will be directly in charge of. Then you can easily fill in the gaps with other professionals.
Overall, hiring a support team will be one of the greatest steps you can take. It’s vital for you to grow and manage your business better. Just take it one task at a time. Before you know it, you’ll find yourself happier, with more time, and probably with a greater amount of income.
