How is your LNC business growth going?
Are you feeling stuck? At some point, most business owners can feel like they’re not getting anywhere. I’ve been there, too.
Either you begin to experience burnout, frustration or feel you aren’t reaching your goals and can’t seem to get past the income plateau you’ve found yourself on.
It’s a normal part of being in business, but staying there isn’t. Successful LNCs figure out how to overcome the challenges and overwhelm in order to grow their business. And the first step is to determine what exactly is holding you back.
LNC Business Growth
Lack of Clarity
When you don’t know what you want from your business, you’re experiencing a lack of clarity. Could it be that you aren’t clear about what you want?
- Have your business goals changed?
- Did you start your business determined to help only defense attorneys, and then found out there is a greater need from plaintiff attorneys?
- Did you plan to work full time in your business within 6 months, only to find that your start was slower than expected?
These are all symptoms of a lack of clarity or of the realities of launching your LNC business, and they can stop a promising business in its tracks.
If you’re suffering from a lack of clarity, take a step back and do some brainstorming or brain dumping to get everything out where you can see it. This alone can help you get clear on what your next step is.
For optimal business growth, you need to know your destination clearly and provide the map to get you there. Check on your progress occasionally to make certain you are on the right track at the right time to meet deadlines.
Lack of Focus
If you’re clear on your goals but you’re having trouble moving forward consistently, then a lack of focus might be your trouble. You head to your office each morning with purpose, but by lunch it’s clear you haven’t accomplished anything you set out to do.
You’re not a bad person, or even a poor business owner. You just have trouble focusing on the next step that needs to happen to make your dreams come true.
Try this. With your end goal in mind, brainstorm the next physical action you need to take to achieve it.
So if your goal is to add 2 new clients to your business this month. Concentrate on networking, telling everyone in your circle that you are focused on growing your business, actively post on LinkedIn.com the content your ideal client wants to see.
Sometimes it takes the best little step to get you excited about your business. Focus is a challenge for many, however when you plan your day ahead of time, you can see what needs to be accomplished before your workday ends.
Doing this helps you focus on those must-have tasks completed before you know it. Set realistic goals and deadlines.
Lack of Motivation
Bored? Have you lost interest in that business you once loved? This is, unfortunately, pretty common among solopreneurs. That’s why we see so many of them jumping from business to business, never spending enough time in any one endeavor to see it through to success.
Staying excited about your business starts with having a dream that keeps you going even when you’re faced with the day-to-day drudgery that every LNC business owner encounters. Not everything is fun when you’re running a business, but if you keep your “why” in mind, it can help you get past the dull spots.
As mentioned earlier, most entrepreneurs will get ‘stuck’ from time to time. It’s important that you immediately address what is holding you back and attack it right away. The longer you put things off, the longer it will take you to straighten things out. To reach business success, you need to be able to pivot and keep your focus on growing your business.
