About the Author
Pat discovered legal nurse consulting in 1989 when she attended her first American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants conference. At that time, nurses who worked with attorneys were referred to as medical-legal consultants. The role and language of this field evolved over the years as Pat grew her independent legal nurse consultant business.
After Pat completed two years of experience as a medical-surgical expert witness, she founded Med League, an independent LNC business that trained and supplied expert witnesses. Med League grew to be a multimillion-dollar business before she sold it.
With an eye toward the eventual sale of her LNC company, Pat started The Pat Iyer Group in 2008 to provide education, coaching, and inspiration to legal nurse consultants. Her many courses, online training, coaching, and books are located on LegalNurseBusiness.com. After selling Med League, she continued to provide services to a select group of attorneys.
Additionally, Pat serves as a ghostwriter for nurses, doctors, professional speakers, and business owners.
