After completing a diploma school of nursing, Pat Iyer MSN RN LNCC earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. She has extensive clinical experience as a medical surgical nurse and entered the legal nurse consulting field in 1987 as a liability nursing expert witness. Over the past 35 + years, she has crafted her skill as an LNC.
She took her first case as a medical surgical expert witness in October 1987, and to her surprise, was testifying at a trial in January 1988. She testified in cases for the next 20 years as a liability expert and for 25 years as expert fact witness. Using what she learned in the demanding role of being an expert witness, she trained over 200 expert witnesses to provide services for her company. Pat has trained close to 100 LNCs how to fulfill the role of being an expert fact witness.

Experts praise this book for being informative, comprehensive, and practical. It offers fresh perspectives that help trial attorneys understand pain and suffering better.
