Pat testified as an expert witness for 25 years as a liability expert for medical surgical cases and to explain medical records to juries. She reviewed criminal cases as a consultant to attorneys. A prolific author, Pat edited or wrote 49 books, primarily for legal nurse consultants. She served as the National President of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC) and also was on its board for five years. She is a Legal Nurse Consultant Certified and started teaching LNCs online in 2008. The host of Legal Nurse Podcast, Pat has listeners in 79 countries. Teresa Devitt-Lynch MSN RN AFN-BC SANE-A is board certified through the International Association of Forensic Nursing as an Advanced Forensic Nurse and an Adult/Adolescent Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. She served in the Navy as a Lead Forensic Nurse Examiner and Assistant Forensic Health Program Manager in Portsmouth. In Italy, she served at the Naval Hospital as the Sexual Assault Forensic Examination Program Manager.

As the Owner of Intrepid Forensic Healthcare Consulting, Teresa serves civilian and military attorneys with services for handling criminal and civil case in the role of forensic consultant, expert witness, and educator.  She is currently establishing services for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence in North Dakota. She is a member of the International Association of Forensic Nurses, the American Psychology Law Society, the International Association for Correctional and Forensic Psychology, the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants, the American Investigative Society of Cold Cases,  the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, and the Academy of Forensic Nurses.
